Shallow Grave - EPK

“SHALLOW GRAVE”
Ire Releases First Single Since EP – “Poison Dreams”
The independent metalcore group, "Ire," has released their newest song today, “Shallow Grave,” their first release since their debut EP – “Poison Dreams.” The breakout song from that EP, “Reflections,” was featured on several Spotify curated playlists such as “New Metal Tracks” (now known as “All New Metal”), “New Core,” and “New Blood,” amassing well over 500,000 streams in its first year on Spotify alone, and tens of thousands more on other platforms such as Apple Music, YouTube, etc.
The Pittsburgh-native metalcore band’s new song takes a more melodic approach than previous releases. “Shallow Grave represents what we’ve been trying to achieve since the beginning. It’s dynamic, heavy, emotional – and unbelievably well produced, thanks to our friends at Atrium Audio.” said Brandon Fandel (lead vocals, guitars) of Ire.
Fast and Heavy Verses With a HUGE, Emotional Chorus
“Musically and lyrically, Shallow Grave really defines what Ire is bringing to the table with our upcoming new releases.” said Joe Leo (bass guitar, backing vocals) of Ire.
Friends of the band who have listened to the pre-release of the new single are expecting this song to take the band even further than its predecessor, Reflections. Ari Esmi (guitars, backing vocals) of Ire says “Shallow grave is a small taste of what’s to come with this upcoming record as we start to settle into our own sound.”
Shallow Grave is available across all major streaming platforms (including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and many others) today, Friday, July 1st, 2022.
About Ire
Founded in 2019, Ire consists of Brandon Fandel (lead vocals, guitars), Ari Esmi (guitars, backing vocals), and Joe Leo (bass, backing vocals). These three have been playing music together for over 10 years since being early teenagers. Working with Grammy-nominated producers, Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak of Atrium Audio (August Burns Red, Polaris, Lorna Shore, ERRA, Galactic Empire, and others), this Pittsburgh-local group of lifelong friends has managed to get on several Spotify curated playlists such as “All New Metal,” “New Core,” and “New Blood.” They’ve also found success on local Pittsburgh rock radio station - 105.9 The X. Since the release of their debut single, “Red Ink,” their EP – “Poison Dreams,” has been streamed over 1,000,000 times across streaming platforms. One year after releasing the band’s biggest success to date, “Reflections,” that song still maintains an average of 1,000 streams every single day on Spotify (largely due to Spotify algorithmic playlists like "Your Daily Mix" and "Discover Weekly"), helping them maintain a monthly listener base of over 15,000 for many months, but reaching as high as over 70,000 monthly listeners earlier in its release.
Despite being unable to play shows during the critical development time of the band, following the return of live music, Ire has shared the stage with national (and international) touring acts such as The Veer Union, Trapt, Dead Eyes, Greyhaven, Limbs, and many more. Ire has upcoming show dates opening for the Nu Metal Madness tour, featuring Hed PE, Crazy Town, Adema, and Flaw, as well as another show with Flaw alone.
